Awards hat-trick for Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel
The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel has been named Conference Hotel of the Year 2020 at the Scottish Hotel Awards.
In a night of triple success, the four-star venue also picked up the Reception Team of the Year award with Scott Fraser being named Chef De Partie of the Year.
The winners were announced on Facebook on Sunday 25 April after the physical ceremony had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The awards and the comprehensive list of People of Excellence winners were revealed over the course of the evening, following a video welcome from the event organisers.
Hotel Director Bronagh Bell said: “Winning these three awards is an incredible achievement and I’m truly delighted. We invest a lot of time in the Golden Jubilee ensuring that our portfolio of conference services is meeting our client’s expectations and ahead of industry standards.
“It is also a fantastic tribute to all of our hard working, professional and dedicated staff who work so hard to ensure that our guests have the best experience and a warm welcome
“This is a difficult time with hotels closed other than for key workers, we are acutely aware of the challenges faced by the hospitality and events industry. We are already planning for what the conference world will look like post pandemic and how our clients will meet in the future. I would like to thank every member of our team for the excellent work they do every day.
“I would also like to congratulate Scott Fraser for his achievement in winning Chef de Partie of the Year. His dedication and commitment to develop his personal skills and the Golden Jubilee menu has been amazing and this is a well-earned reward for Scott.
The awards come after the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel received the Venues of Excellence Green Tourism Award for Sustainability following the rollout of their 10-point sustainability plan and a wide range of eco-friendly policies.
The venue has removed single use plastics, reduced the amount of paper used and created an outdoor meeting space for ‘walk and talk’ meetings.
NHS Golden Jubilee Chief Executive, Jann Gardner commented: “I’d like to congratulate all the staff in the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel for achieving these fantastic national awards.
“It’s a team effort and all our staff deserve praise for their hard work, professionalism and dedication to first class customer service. It’s thanks to them that we can deliver innovative, collaborative and bespoke services for a unique user experience.”
Why Join the Chamber
Chamber membership can save you hundreds or more each year for just a few pence a day. Have a look at some of the benefits of being a chamber member.
I would highly recommend chamber membership to any Dunbartonshire business. The chamber works hard to make connections and generate profile for its members and SHBT have enjoyed a number of benefits over the years.Elizabeth Mackay, SHBT
