Last week, Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted a table at the prestigious 2024 Scottish Chambers of Commerce Annual Business Address, held at the Glasgow Hilton. President Mary Ann Smith, along with directors Paul Kingham and Nick Allan, welcomed members and local businesses, including Bruach Architects and Freedom Boat Club, alongside Scottish enterprises Lookers, Hamilton Academical FC, Once Switchgear, and HG Leadership Consultancy.

The event brought together over 650 influential business leaders, celebrating Scotland’s innovation, resilience, and collaboration. It was a night filled with inspiration and optimism for the future, with standout speeches from keynote speakers like Diane Gutiw, Vice President and Global AI Research Centre Lead at CGI, who highlighted the accessibility of AI for businesses of all sizes.

Attendees were motivated by the entrepreneurial journey of Rowena Bird, Co-Founder of LUSH, who encouraged businesses to “have fun, choose your team wisely, and leave the world lusher than you found it.” Mike Soutar, Founder of Shortlist Media, entertained with insights from his remarkable career, and Dr. Liz Cameron CBE, Chief Executive of SCC, passionately called for meaningful change to support the business community through today’s economic challenges.

Dunbartonshire Chamber’s participation underscores its commitment to fostering strong partnerships, meaningful collaborations, and opportunities for local businesses to connect and thrive. It was an unforgettable evening and a powerful reminder of the strength and potential of Scotland’s business community.

Let’s work together for a brighter, more collaborative 2025!
