A Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce member is leading the way for growth, innovation, and community benefit in the West of Scotland.
J.C. Electrical & Security Solutions Ltd, has seen a tripling in turnover and added 3 new staff in just 4 years and is set for another phase of expansion with the launch of a ground-breaking new product.
Headed up by John Cooper, JC Electrical & Security Solutions Ltd growth has been driven by growing the core business by expanding the client base and securing significant new business, winning competitive tenders for ongoing business including: Knowes Housing, Joint partnership with DMI for Police Scotland electrical & CCTV works.
The positive performance of the business has allowed John to focus on the development of an innovative new product to be launched in the new year. Whilst full details are still being kept under wraps, the product has been 3 and a half years in development in partnership with Edinburgh & Glasgow University (Censis). It has exciting security and monitoring capabilities that can be applied across a range of sectors and environments including health and assisted care. It is anticipated that the rollout of the new venture will create an additional 15 new jobs at the Clydebank HQ.
The growth JC Electrical & Security Solutions Ltd has enjoyed has also allowed the business to invest more in Corporate Social Responsibility and community benefit. The thriving business recently became a Partner+ Supporter of Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce primarily to get behind the Chamber’s Building Bridges Skills Development Programme. Connections via the Dunbartonshire Chamber network also led to the sponsorship of fellow-chamber-member, Lomond Radio, a not-for-profit community radio station.
John Cooper is excited about the growth and developments at the Clydebank-based company: “We are delighted that we have been successful in building the business and establishing a strong position to continue to grow more in the future. I am extremely proud of the new product and look forward to launching this early in 2024. It is great to see all our hard work paying off on so many fronts.
“We are also really committed to giving back to our local area and communities. The Chamber’s Partner+ Programme provided an ideal way for us to do this. We have really appreciated all the help and support being a member of the Chamber has given us and are keen to support their ongoing activities and, in particular, the Building Bridges programme.”
Damon Scott, Chief Executive, Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce said: “We are incredibly grateful for the support John and JC Electrical and Security Solutions are providing. It will help support the development of skills in West Dunbartonshire and provide a link between schools and business. We have already started developing some really exciting connections and ideas for an academy-style pilot with Clydebank High School.”
“We are also delighted to be working with John to develop supply chain contacts and are connecting him into the opportunities offered by the Scottish Chambers International Trade Programme. We hope that this will help with the roll-out of his new product in 2024.”
